Beginning September 1, New York Textile Month will mark its 6th year of celebrating textile craft, innovation, and the knowledge and traditions that animate our industry. There is much to do, see and hear throughout September for anyone interested in, or just curious about, the rich world of textiles. There are textile exhibitions, and panels, presentations and walks, as well as awards ceremonies for up-and-coming student talent. Organized by Lidewij Edelkoort and the Parsons School of Design, the textile event has become a critical one for exploring the state of textiles as an art form and global industry.
